Man Utd Set to Make £50m Approach For Liverpool’s Long-term Target

Jose Mourinho planning to launch a £50 million move for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette who has been recently linked with a switch to Arsenal and Liverpool.

Both Premier League clubs have been heavily linked with a transfer for the Frenchman who was thought to be closing in on a deal to Atletico Madrid, however, recent transfer ban of Spanish club alerted Man Utd.
Atletico Madrid failed in their appeal to have their one-year transfer ban overturned meaning that they will have to wait next season to sign players.
The developments have led the Red Devils to alter their strategy and Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho is ready to lure Frenchman at Old Trafford, according to the Mirror.
The attacker has already told Lyon that he will leave the club and for the Champions League club.
The first-choice destination for Frenchman was believed to have been Atletico before their transfer ban.
And now United are confident they can beat Liverpool in the transfer race for a 25-year-old hitman.
Lacazette has insisted he will only sign for a Champions League club and both Man Utd and Liverpool are ready to offer him that opportunity.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have been also linked with Serie A attacker Mohamed Salah who is believed to be on his way out from Roma this summer.
