Euro Giants Planning to Make Approach For Brazilian Midfielder

Turkish giants Besiktas have made an approach for Liverpool veteran midfielder Lucas Leiva.

The Brazilian midfielder is expected to leave Anfield after his 10-year spell with the Merseyside Reds, with some European clubs ready to sign him this summer.
According to Turkish website Fanatik, Besiktas have been clear favourites to sign 30-year-old Brazilian midfielder.
Lucas is reportedly eyeing a £4.2m per year salary, and the Turkish giants are willing to splash the money and lure experienced Brazilian star at Vodafone Stadium.
The 30-year-old midfielder is currently the longest-serving member of the Merseyside Reds squad. However, he is out of contract at the end of the current campaign.
His wage demands have put some clubs off, including those back home in Brazil, but Besiktas could well be Lucas’ next destination with the Turkish club keen on sealing the deal.
Meanwhile, Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez keeping tabs on Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo and Leicester City ace Tom Lawrence.
Sheyi Ojo has failed to establish himself as the first team member under Jurgen Klopp, making only two appearances in all competitions and a move to St James Park could be a chance to save his career.
The report added that the Reds winger was a target for Newcastle United last summer and Rafael Benitez is monitoring the progress of Liverpool starlet.
