Not Lukaku: Chelsea Lining Up Summer Move For 24-Goals Lethal Striker

Chelsea are planning to ruin Man Utd transfer plans by signing Belgian attacker Dries Mertens, according to reports.

Conte wants to sign two new strikers this summer with both Diego Costa and Michy Batshuayi expected to leave the club at the end of the current campaign.
Alvaro Morata and Romelu Lukaku are believed to be a No.1 transfer target for Italian manager. However, Dries Mertens has been an alternative move.
Mertens is being watched by Man Utd for recent months with Jose Mourinho believed to be a huge fan of 30-year-old forward.
And Belgian publication HLN now claim that Antonio Conte’s team are also keen on the 30-year-ol star and planning to use Eden Hazard influence on Napoli star.
Both Hazard and Mertens have been first team players at Belgium national team that has been managed by former Everton boss Roberto Martines, and their relationship could give Chelsea advantage over Man Utd in the transfer race.
Belgium international forward has been offered a new contract by Napoli with a £30million release clause. However, they are yet to confirm he has signed it.
The 30-year-old forward has scored 24 Serie A goals and trails only Edin Dzeko and Andrea Belotti in the Italian league.
Conte’s Chelsea will win the Premier League this year and with return to European football the Blues need to increase the depth of their squad for the upcoming 2017/18 season,
