Liverpool’s Long-Serving Midfielder Linked With Shock Summer Move to PL Newbies

Premier League newbies Brighton & Hove Albion’s planning to sign Liverpool’s veteran midfielder Lucas Leiva.

Lucas has spent 10 years with the Mersyseisde Reds since joining them from Gremio in a deal worth £5 million back in 2007, but now it seems to be an end of his career at Anfield.
The Brazilian is considering his options ahead of a decisive summer, with his time has been limited under Jurgen Klopp and Brighton ready to offer him a key role in the their team.
According to the Mirror, Brighton’s manager Chris Hughton targeting a “top-flight ready players:” and Lucas with his experience seems to be an ideal signing.
The 30-year-old midfielder has made 245 appearances in the Premier League and is Liverpool’s current longest-serving player.
Linking Brazilian with a newly promoted side eager to bolster their midfield ranks is certainly convenient, with the veteran likely to be on the move.
Brighton may be a sensible move for the Brazilian midfielder if he is eager for regular first-team football. However, reports remain tenuous at this stage.
The Brazilian midfielder, in the English Premier League, has failed to found the net this term, creating six chances and three assists. The 30-year-old midfielder has completed 702 passes this season with a pass accuracy of 83%, of which 96% were forward passes.
