Chelsea Lining Up £39m Offer For 22-year-old International Star

Chelsea are ready to launch a £39 million bid for 22-year-old Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.

According to RMC Sports reports, Antonio Conte has identified Frenchman as a priority target for Chelsea this term and held talks with the player’s representatives ahead of a summer move.
However, Chelsea will face strong competition for Frenchman form their Premier League rivals Manchester United, Portuguese manager, Jose Mourinho is believed to be a huge fan of 22-year-old midfielder and identified him as a perfect replacement for Michael Carrick.
Bakayoko is set to leave the newly-crowned Ligue 1 champions this summer and hosts of Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on his signature.
The 22-year-old has been an influential figure in Monaco’s midfield, and his fine form helped Frenchman to receive praise from the Europe’s heavyweights.
However, Former Man Utd defender, Rio Ferdinand, after Monaco’s 2-0 defeat to Juventus in the Champions League warned clubs against spending too much on Bakayako.
‘I don’t know if he is ready to make that big step yet,’ he said.
‘There were deficiencies in his game in terms of picking people up and identifying danger.’
