Chelsea Transfer News: European Giants Prepare Shock Double Swoop

Real Madrid are determined to secure the services of Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Manchester United’s David De Gea in the summer, according to reports

Los Blancos, who are currently top of La Liga, are desperate to sign a new goalkeeper and were hoping to land either Thibaut Courtois or De Gea.

But while the Belgian goalie was originally seen as more attainable, Real chiefs are now convinced a deal for the Spanish stopper can be done, according to the Mirror.

The Royal club famously tried – and failed – two years ago, but still believe the 26-year-old United star would be ready to leave Old Trafford — particularly if the Red Devils miss out on the Champions League for the second year running.

The paper also adds that Zinedine Zidane’s man are “ready to smash the £89 million world-record fee to get Hazard,” who Chelsea still hope to persuade to sign a new £300,000-a-week contract.

Both teams will be desperately trying to keep hold of two influential individuals, but with the money on offer and the appeal of moving to the Bernabeu, it remains to be seen if these two in particular can turn down such an opportunity.
