The 24-year-old World-class striker confirms negotiations with Antonio Conte

Alvaro Morata says he apparently would have transferred to Chelsea last summer had Real Madrid decided to sell him.

The striker was reached straight by Antonio Conte when he became Chelsea manager and was open to transfer to the club.
The Spain International was in limbo in the summer as Real weighed up cashing in on the striker or giving him a regular action.
Italian manager Antonio Conte was ready to bring Morata to Chelsea, and the Spaniard announces if he was to transfer it would have been to a London club.
“Various Premier League coaches called to tell me to play for them,” – The Striker told the Guardian.
“I said “yeah, I’d like to”, that if I had to leave I would almost certainly go to London, but that I didn’t know what Madrid would do. I knew they’d bring me back, but I didn’t know if it was to keep me or sell me. I spoke directly to Mauricio Pochettino and Antonio Conte, although the norm is clubs call my dad or agent. Madrid said they didn’t want to sell, so here I am.” – He Added.
Real landed Morata back from Juventus at the end of last campaign, and the striker has done well since re joining the club he spent his whole career at before moving to Italy.
Morata has netted 16 goals in all tournaments this campaign as he has fought with Karim Benzema for a spot up front.

That is despite the case Morata has started just ten matches in La Liga and often performs second fiddle to Benzema.
Chelsea have again been linked with a move for Morata with Real hopeful they can land Eden Hazard if they include their striker in the deal.
