Leicester City Ace Linked With Summer Move to Liverpool

Liverpool planning to hijack Arsenal move for highly-rated Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell at the end of the summer transfer window.

England Under-21 international has made only three Premier League starts and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been keeping tabs on highly-demanded England u-21 international full-back since last summer and rates him among one of the best players in the world.

Chilwell has been tipped to the player to make Gareth Southgate’s senior England squad as soon as he gets first-team football.

Englishman last summer has agreed a new contract with the defending Premier League champions keeping him at the King Power Stadium until 2021, however, Liverpool are closely monitoring the situation and could land left-back as a potential replacement for James Milner.

The Gunners have also been keeping tabs on his progress. However, it is now certain that French manager Arsene Wenger will quit the club and Arsenal could cool their interest for his signature.

The Foxes see Chilwell as a bright prospect for the future and try to hold on his signature, however, after being in danger to make a return to Championship Chilwell could be seeking an escape route and Liverpool might be options for 20-year-old defender.

But Klopp is ready to offer around £10million for a player that he failed to sign for £7m when his bids were rejected last summer.
